The Columbus Black Women’s Health Alliance (CBWHA) is a non-profit organization founded in
1993 as one of the first chapters of the National Black Women’s Health Project. (Originally named
the Columbus Black Women’s Health Project). The organization strives to unify Central Ohio
women of African ancestry around health maintenance and broaden the traditional concepts of
health and wellness. The mission of the organization is to educate, empower and encourage
local Black women to take control of, and become active participants in, maintaining their
health.

There is a $5.00 registration fee for the "Walk for Wellness" 1, 2 or 3 mile walk that starts and
finishes in the Historic Long Street District.  For information about the Columbus Black Women's
Health Alliance  call  Wanda Dillard at 614-293-5972 or log onto
